Make your 2017 NYC Resolutions

Many people make new year’s resolutions they cannot keep, but here is a fun idea that you will want to continue fulfilling! Whether your list consists of new neighborhoods you wish to visit, new flavors you wish to taste or new skills you wish to learn, this rainy weekend is your chance. Our friends at We Heart Astoria inspired us to create a neighborhood to-do list with their Astoria themed resolutions, so we decided to put pen to paper as we dream about sailing the NYC waters come summer. For us, we are hoping to learn how to surf in the Rockaways, discover new cuisines in Astoria, explore boutiques in Williamsburg, sip new beverages in Red Hook and uncover secret bars in Manhattan. What will your resolutions be?

Belly Laugh at a Comedy Show

While the darker days of winter may be bringing you down, the colorful and witty comedians of New York City will surely make you laugh. If you are in the mood for a set of multiple comedians, Eastville Comedy Club in the East Village is one of our Manhattan favorites, as well as any of the ticketed comedy shows at Caroline’s on Broadway (Times Square) and The Standing Room (Long Island City).

Scout the best Bagels in Town

Bagels are a New York City staple, but how often do you go out of your way to taste the bagels that New Yorkers claim to be “the best?” Well, here is your chance! Potentially use NYC&Co’s bagel calendar featuring their 12 favorite bagels, if you are in to make a last minute New Year’s resolution.

Enjoy 2 for 1 on Broadway Shows

Sadly, not many New Yorkers think of Broadway shows as a way to spice up their weekend with a splash of culture. However, with the 2 for 1 Broadway ticket initiative (Jan 17th – Feb 5th), you can finally see that show you have been low key wanting to see for ages. The best part? Bring a friend!

Jazz it up with Thai Rock

Thai Rock is a solid place to go warm up in the winter time, enjoy delicious spice combinations and let yourself move to the live jazz beats both Saturday and Sunday. Plus, our Thai Rock friends love pairing whiskeys and wines with their dishes, so you are surely in for a treat. We cannot wait until their delicious meals and original cocktail are only an hour ferry ride from Wall Street!
