Looking for something to do this weekend? Come check out the final performance of this outdoor music festival!
NYC Ferry is a proud sponsor of the September music series “Live at the Landing”, produced by the Hunters Point Parks Conservancy at LIC Landing – right off the Hunters Point South stop on our East River route. Over the past 3 Thursdays, some of Queens best musicians have come together to serenade the audience at sunset with the Manhattan skyline as their backdrop.
On September 14th, Xavier Cardriche kicked off this waterfront festival with his soulful crooning and creative folk stylings.
The following week featured Astoria-based John Christopher Allen and his band. As they played their raw, rhythms, and sang their authentic lyrics, the sun glowed behind them and the city seemed to be dancing to the music.
Yesterday Os Clavelitos brought the house down with their funky tunes. The 6-piece American Samba band creates original music that combines traditional Brazilian rhythms (samba, baiao, bossa nova, and frevo) and English lyrics.
Don’t miss the final show this Sunday October 1st at 3pm featuring Planet Queens. They will be performing a tribute to one of the most revered bands of all time. Planet Queens will recreate the Eagles greatest hits volumes 1 and 2!
Special thanks to Hunters Point Parks Conservancy for producing this outdoor music festival and to our partnership sponsors, Queens Council on the Arts, LIC Landing and The Ice Plant Studio for providing artists, space and sound.
