Hornblower Cruises Town hall
October 18, 2016

At the Hornblower 2016 Town Hall, the various counterparts of the ever-growing Hornblower family met on the beautiful Hornblower Hybrid yacht, looking out on the Empire State Building from the company’s main dock at Pier 40.

Celebrating milestones the company and its devoted employees have achieved in the past 18 months, the employees from the various Hornblower branches – from Statue Cruises to NYC Ferry Service, got together to network, learn from and inspire each other to continue working towards our unified goals, from our various vessels within the complete Hornblower fleet.

After looking at the successful strategies of the cruises and events sector, our NYC Ferry Service team opened up for a discussion for all of the company’s employees to raise concerns and questions about the future service, logistics, and much more.

Hunters Point Civic Association Meeting
October 10, 2016

For the third consecutive year, the Hunters Point Civic Association will be hosting a Thanksgiving food drive in collaboration with Astoria Lions Club. This year’s goal will be to collect a total of three tons of food for Hour Children Food Pantry, St. Raphael R.C. Church Food Pantry, and Center of Hope International Food Pantry.

The food drive, running for two weeks beginning on November 7th, will be hosting a sorting party on November 30th to bring loving volunteers together to help feed the less fortunate in the holiday spirit of giving thanks. The community driven food drive is asking for potential participants to keep an eye out for their food donation boxes in various building complex lobbies around the city, where you may donate any of the critical non-perishable food and hygiene items such as cereals, boxed milk, juices, canned fruits and meats, toilet paper, soaps, diapers, and baby food.
