Love is in the air in the Lower East Side! Celebrate love with NYC Ferry and local businesses on our Lower East Side route for the month of February. Don’t forget to enter the contests on Instagram with the hashtag #loveinthelowereastside.

 

Love in the Lower East Side Couples Giveaway

Calling all NYC Ferry riders and their loved ones! We want to see how you spread love with NYC Ferry. This contest is for couples and the winner will receive a roundtrip ride on the Lower East Side Route, an overnight stay at the Orchard St. Hotel, and a Hornblower Champagne Brunch Cruise for two. To enter, share a photo of you and your loved one on an NYC Ferry and tell us your love story and why you should win the contest. That’s it! The winner will be announced on February 7th, good luck!

 

Love in the Lower East Side Singles Giveaway

It wouldn’t be the month of love if we didn’t have something for our singles! Enter our Love in the Lower East Side Singles Contest by commenting on our giveaway graphic explaining why you need a singles’ night out and tag two friends you would bring with you. The winner will receive free admission to Hornblower Rock the Yacht Party Cruise for themselves and two friends. The winner will be announced on February 14th, good luck!

There’s nothing like the love of family, which is why we couldn’t forget to have a contest for our NYC Ferry families. To enter, repost our giveaway graphic with a caption explaining why you and your family need a day out on the Lower East Side! Be sure to tag @nycferry and #loveinthelowereastside. The winner will receive free admission to the Museum at Eldridge St., a $50 discounted lunch at Raclette, and 4 tickets to Hornblower’s Alive After Five Cruise. The winner will be announced on February 21st, good luck!

2/16 – 2/22 | Where to spend date night this week

Raclette, meaning “to scrape”, follows the tradition that has been part of Europe for hundreds of years. The traditional meal consists of Alpine cheeses melted on the wheel and then scraped onto the main dish. The main dish is usually comprised of potatoes and meat. For the week of February 16th to 22nd, enjoy 10% off your meal at Raclette with a valid NYC Ferry ticket or receipt. It is a 14-minute walk from the Stuyvesant Cove landing on the Lower East Side Route.

Madera is treating NYC Ferry riders to 10% off their meal from February 16th to 22nd! Madera serves you the flavors of Cuba. Their mid-Western steaks are grilled to perfection. Other items on their menu include chicharron de pollo, sandwich Cubano, and paella de mariscos Cuban style. Simply show a valid NYC Ferry ticket or receipt to receive the promotion. Madera is a 9-minute walk from the Long Island City landing on the Lower East Side Route.

The Tenement Museum is giving NYC Ferry riders 10% off admission from February 16th to 22nd. The Tenement Museum gives insight into the lives of immigrants between the 1860s and 1930s and the vital role they played in the evolution of America. Tickets can be purchased online, over the phone, and at the ticket counter. To receive 10% off your tickets, simply use the code “NYCFERRY” at the time of purchase. This promotion is valid up to (4) tickets. The Tenement Museum is a 20-minute walk from the Corlears Hook landing on the Lower East Side Route.

Beauty & Essex is known for being one of New York City’s most beautiful restaurants. The restaurant is located behind a pawn shop and you’re greeted by the luxurious restaurant once you walk through the doors. It is two levels and has three bars, one of which is located in the women’s bathroom. Their menu includes items such as spicy salmon tartare, crispy eggplant pizzetta, and classic beef Wellington. Beauty & Essex is a 20-minute walk from the Corlears Hook landing on the Lower East Side Route.

Public Kitchen focuses on sustainable seafood, organic poultry, and grass-fed meats, along with organic fruits and vegetables. Owner Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten is inspired by his worldwide travels and the menu is driven by the seasons. Some things you can find on the menu are eggs benedict, smoked salmon, and pork and herb sausage. Public Kitchen is a 30-minute walk from the Corlears Hook landing on the Lower East Side Route.

Vandal serves your entree with a side of art. Every dish on the menu highlights a trend that is all very Instagram worthy! From the art on the walls to the food you are served, you’ll want to snap a picture to share with your followers. Their menu features items such as Thai style salmon ceviche, smoked pork arepas, and classic charred Kobe style beef burger. Vandal is a 30-minute walk from the Corlears Hook landing on the Lower East Side Route.
