Upon entering the hotel with our hard-hats on and cameras in hand, we were amazed by the nautical designs with reused ropes, wood from upstate New York farms and waterfront communities, leftover leather from the rooms’ interior, and the best part? Floor-to-ceiling windows that allow you to soak in the park’s energy in the wintertime and summertime, as the windows open fully for the warmer months.
Walking through the unique spaces of the nearly finished hotel, with local craftsmen working on the finishing touches before its February launch, we were amazed by how the nature and waterfront truly felt so close that you could almost touch it. From the fresh saltwater breeze entering your room from open windows in the summertime to the epic views of the Statue of Liberty and Downtown Manhattan, it will be hard to leave your quiet escape in the heart of the blossoming Brooklyn neighborhood, DUMBO.
The designs of the hotel are focused on keeping the spaces as open as possible with tall ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows in all spaces to allow for guests to see the beautiful skyline and energetic park waiting for them outside, no matter what direction they are facing.
Whether it is a view of the Statue of Liberty from a hammock in your room, the view of the Brooklyn Bridge from your conference room, or skyline view from the rooftop plunge pool, you are bound to have iconic views as far as your eye can see throughout the various spaces of this waterfront hotel. So… Did someone say waterfront staycation?!
